Mobile Broadband - Poor 3G+ reception in Shoeburyness

Hi,

Looking on your coverage map, I am on the pink side near the border of the red "indoor" and pink "variable indoor" reception areas for postcode SS3 8TA. My actual signal is 2 bars typically, with 3G+ dropping off more often than not.

The map suggests that my area will have "future coverage" of red, so my question is do you have any details of when this may happen? I'm looking for a specific date as opposed to a general answer like "soon"!

I am getting quite frustrated with the poor signal and am seriously looking to move to another supplier that has better reception for my area.

Can you also tell me if there has been any transmitter problems in my area, and what number they are.

Thanks.

Hello iamds56

I have taken a detailed look at your postcode area for coverage.

In relation to standard (2G) coverage, there shouldn't be any major issues.

Your local site is numbered 34874 and is situated a little way up the B1017, so right on your doorstep. :) There have not been any issues with the site lately. I have checked it real time and it is running fine.

Unfortunately there is very little indoor 3G coverage where you live.

In relation to future coverage there is much better news. :D

A new 3G site (77612), is planned to be installed, just along the road from you in Poynters Lane. The provisional start date is the 22nd of this month.
I fully understand your situation but the date must be "provisional" , as one never knows what problems may occur between now and then.

Trusting this answers everything, best wishes

Thanks for info.

I shall wait and see how things go for a couple of months.
