Moto G bugs - does vf's custom firmware fix them?

There are a number of very annoying bugs that exist in the retail (and tesco) android firmware for 4.4.2 - which are detailed extensively here  - https://forums.motorola.com/posts/48fb0b8150

Motorola seem to be investigating, but don't yet have a solution.

Now I understand that vodafone are (or have) released the Moto G.  I assume that they would have undertaken some testing.  I'd like to know whether the 4.4.2 firmware for vf experienced things like 'stealth aeroplane' mode, etc.

Link for vf 4.3 and 4.4.2 firmware - http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14

If they do fix the problems, then I might flash my phone.

Thanks,

Darran

though I seem to recall coming across some similar reports for nexus 4 users whilst having a dig around

Ahh! That's whyI had in my head, the Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus both had very similar network related issues if I remember rightly (was some time ago). I was lucky enough to have stumbled across the issues before updating my old Galaxy Nexus so I was able to wait until Google had fixed it before updating.

To be honest I think even if Vodafone had picked it up it's very unlikely they will mention anything in public. They would have certainly fed any issues back to Motorola who will have resolved them for Vodafone. If the issue was picked up it could be a case of just waiting until they have added the changes to their open market software as well.

Unfortunately there isn't much else that users can do though, as you say it's just "sit back and see what happens"

FYI - someone has tried the vf-branded 4.4.2 firmware and reports the same problems.

Will sit tight and hope that Motorola/Google can come up with a fix.

I'm currently testing a Moto G and I'm pleased to say that it is working perfectly. I haven't had any of the issues reported on the Motorola forum. I'm testing today in Central London and will report back later.

@DarranAmes not sure if you have seen this update yet but it supposedly fixes some network issues
