My B970 Router, Vodafone Warranty

Good afternoon folks,

I recently bought this B970 router:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=170341045256

I went to pick it up from the post office this morning and got it all set up for about 10am. It worked absolutely fine. I love it, it's a brilliant bit of kit.

12pm, all the lights gone out on it, nothing. If I plug it in with the USB->PC cable it works as the modem and powers up but when using the mains adapter in 'internet' mode it doesn't do a thing. So, I'm guessing its either the power supply or something a little more serious that is on the blink.

I emailed Vodafone Trusted UK Seller on ebay and he informed me that Voda will repair it under warranty, however, having spoken on the phone to someone in the pay monthly customer services, it seems that because I haven't bought it direct from Voda, it isn't anything to do with them.

My question to you experienced folks is, given this is a Vodafone branded piece of hardware, who should I be hassling for a repair as I don't want to bark up the wrong tree!

Many thanks
Dave

Hi NandoDave

The repair needs to be arranged through your retailer. In this case you would need to return the device to Trusted UK Seller who will arrange a warranty repair on the device.

To give you a parallel example if you purchased a Vodafone contract through a High Street retailer such as Carphone Warehouse and the handset developed a fault, you would return the device to Carphone Warehouse to be repaired even though your contract is with us.
