My daughter has recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. The phone has a problem where it will call a number, the other number will recognise the call and ring, but the phone does not have any audio ie there is no dialling tone and no connection when it is answered at the other end. The problem also occurs with incoming calls. The problem is fixed temporarily by switching off the phone but it then returns within a few hours.
We have had the phone sent for repairs and it came back saying no fault found, we have swopped the Sim and now we have had a completely new phone and the exact same problem is still there, which suggests its not the hardware but a software issue somehow connected to my daughters account.
She hasnt got a 4G contract.
I upgraded to the exact same phone at the same time, with the exact same contract and have no problems at all.
My daughter and I are not particularly technically minded so we are at loss what to do next! Any help gratefully received. Thanks

Hi there
Have you tried your SIM in your daughter's phone and her SIM in your handset? If so, does the same issue occur on your handset when your daughter's SIM card is in it?

Thanks we are trying that today and all working ok at moment but the problem doesnt arise straight away so we need to give it a bit of time. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi there,
Further update on my problem - the issue has re-occured using my Sim card although at the moment it only affects outgoing calls but incoming calls are connecting ok (the other phone was both types). So I can therefore only assume that we have been very unlucky and have received two faulty phones. Would you agree with this or do you have any other ideas? Is this a known problem on the Samsung Galaxy Mini S4? The signal has also been really bad and cuts out much more than on my phone.
My daughters SIM is working fine in my phone so that rules out a SIM issue (and we have now had three different SIM cards anyway).
Many thanks for your help.
