NFC Payment with Smartpass

I just recently got a Galaxy S6, but I have been using Vodafone SmartPass with an external SmartTag for a while. 

 

I thought I could do away with the Tag now and use the S6 built in NFC. 

 

I see more NFC options than I had on my previous LG G3 but I can't seem to make the NFC payment sucessful.

 

Has anyone else succeeded?

Thanks, I did. 

 

I even had Vodafone Chat check my sim and they don't think I have to change it. 

 

As I have been using SmartPass for ages, I just hoped I could lose the Tag.

 

I'll have to visit a store and see what they say....

Do you know if you are on the new or billing system? If its the old you need a legacy sim card.

A store may be a good call, it can be a bit hit and miss though.

I don't know which. I gave the Sim number to the Chat and they checked it and said I don't need to change it....

 

I'm not sure if it isn't just a setting on NFC. Should I be using "SE SIM card" or "Android operating System" or "Embedded Secure Element" for instance?

 

I found reference to an automatic setting within the Wallet App but I can't find it myself. 

 

I think I'm just missing the obvious

Try opening the wallet app, touch the picture of the card to open smart pass app, touch settings cog (top right), touch payment mode (top of list) then the auto mode is in there.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wallet and smartpass app. 

 

Of course now wallet says "Server cannot be reached. Please try again later. Error C1061" So I'll try later

@ocieoc - Have you been able to get this working?

 

If not, I’ve sent you a private message with instructions on how to get in touch, so we can look into this further - you may need a new SIM.

I had the same problem when switching from the external tag to the NFC SIM on my Note 4 - my solution was this (copies from my thread about it)m I think it was the one in bold that did it

 

All working OK now - I did two things last night, firslty I deleted the Smart Pass from the wallet then reinstalled it and also made sure in in the settings that the Pass was set up for Automatic (always on) payment as opposed to Manual payment, where you have to go in to the app and turn it on.

 

If anyone is having the same problem, try either or both of those.
