Network upgrades on website

Hi,

Since June 2016, the Voda coverage checker web page has been saying 'We will be upgrading the coverage here in the next 3 months' when I enter my postcode EX20 4QH and click on 2G.

Obviously 8 months have gone by, but still no upgrade here..

Also, why only a 2G upgrade, what happened to the 4G roll out?

Anyone?

@guycashmore As previously stated, this was a fault with our Network status checker.

There are no current plans to upgrade the coverage in your area. 

Any future updates will be displayed on the Network status checker.

So is the tie up with O2 not happening in this area now?

@guycashmore the tie up with O2 is still happening (http://www.ctil.co.uk/) it just appears to be taking a lot longer than initially planned to get the rollout done.

Understood, but that rather conflicts with the statement above 'There are no current plans to upgrade the coverage in your area'...

@guycashmore the partnership with O2, through CTIL, is a nationwide program.

The upgrades are happening it's just unfortunate that they haven't reached your area yet. 😞

@guycashmore I don't have access to the same information @Alex does, but if he is unable to see any planned upgrade to the mast in your area then I guess it's not happening yet, doesn't mean it won't be happening in the future though. 🙂

We live in hope.

First it was promised by 2015, then last year on the website, now let down again.

As @Nabs stated, this doesn't mean there won't be upgrades in the future. :smileyhappy:

It is still showing as a planned upgrade on your website right now.

And the link above promised it by 2015.

From where I'm sitting these look like plans?

Is it any surprise that customers get annoyed?
