With tariffs starting at £68 pm not withstanding the one off cost (which hasn't been confirmed yet), I will reluctantly be looking to get this handset from elsewhere. Unless Vodafone offer some deal come 27th October...

With a phone costing £999 what tariff would you expect.  Vodafone won't need to offer deals for the hottest phone of the year. I'll be buying sim free personally.

Considerably less over on Sky mate I'll wager 😉

Sky isn't a mobile network. They don't have to spend billions putting a network in place.

And that is relevant because? I am sorry but I don't think you're making the point you think you are.

It would be foolhardy of anyone to show blind faith & loyalty to a company if it isn't the best deal economically for you.

As I said, I shall wait until 27th October & hope that I am offered a discount from Vodafone on that tariff, as I received this morning for the iPhone 8. Seeing as they've confirmed the entry level tariff is £68 pm though, I suspect I shall be looking elsewhere albeit regrettably.

I imagine £68 pm also means you get a huge data allowance & I just don't need it. I spend about an hour per day disconnected from a router.

Believe you & me, I would rather not give more money to Maxwell than I do already for TV but have no hesitatiion in shopping around.

I agree. Go where the price is best for the service you receive.

I think @Woogy may have based this on what's currently being offered along with the iPhone 8 variants @sean4444

Find it very hard to believe tarifs will start that high. Makes more sense to be able to pay more of an upfront cost with a lower tariff for people that don't need all the data. Especially as Vodaphone no longer offer 12 month tariffs. If that is the case i will buy the phone outright.

Tariffs are starting that high and get more expensive for more data. There is also a hefty up front cost as well. Buying the phone outright and going sim free will save loads of money.

I am not. A little research & paying attention to what is stated on pages helps. Thank you.
