I have got the following:

  • VSS3 (40124136355)
  • 2 Micro sims - one 4 days old and one 6 months old
  • 2 iPhones - one a 4 and one a 4s
  • 1 old samsung phone with nomal sim (original phone that the account is registered under)
  • Both numbers added through VSS dashboard by both me and the guy at customer services

Problem

  • New SIM not seeing the VSS3 and getting a 3G signal

Steps taken to resolve

  • Old SIM tested in both phones - working perfectly
  • New SIM tested in both phones - not working at all
  • Soft reset done on bothe phones
  • Power cycle VSS3 numerous times
  • Remove number from VSS3 and add number back in (numerous times)
  • Changed ownership of VSS3 to my company account removed and readded numbers then transferred VSS3 back

Will a forced re-sync and VSS3 solve the issue? This isnt a phone issue as both phones work with old SIM so i'm not taking the factory reset option.

Hi flapper1112,

Kudos for covering all the bases on this one. I does dound like a forced sync is needed here.

Sit tight one of the eForum team will be able to look at this for you asap.
