Hi @Diron

If you have 'Mobile Data' switched off in its settings then it shouldn't be connecting to the Vodafone Data Network.

Do you have any gprs , 3G etc showing in the phones status bar ?

Hi there

Please could you provide more information on these messages. Are they text messages? Are they a warning on the phone? It is very unclear what you're referring to.

To add

if a person ads into the message for example emotions then the phone may try to convert a text into a MMS message which needs a data connection to send.

It is possible that these messages have been delayed and are simply coming through from earlier.

Is your data allowance going down if you only use WiFi for a couple of days?

If you have a Data Monitor in tbe phone check if somethings using data.

Data monitors or scan be downloaded from your App Store too.

However as your aware when Mobile data is toggled off that should shut down any connection.

I would suggest if convenient popping into a Vodafone Highstreet Store for the staff to take a look.

Hi @Diron

At a guess you are receiving configuration internet data setting messages.

If you have put your SIM into a new phone, Vodafone automatically send configuration settings to your phone for internet access.  Since you have a Vodafone handset with the settings already pre installed, you can safely ignore these messages.

When you are want to use your mobile data, you will only need to make sure you select the connection to the price plan you are on, pre pay for PAYG and Contract if you are pay monthly.

If you are on PAYG and would like a package which includes data, the information on bundles can be found on the link below.

@Diron

What exactly do the messages say?  If its not configuration setting messages, the only other messages would be marketing texts.  You can opt out of marketing texts by using Live Chat.
