Nexus 6P - which model?

I've pre-ordered a Nexus 6P from the Vodafone store as an upgrade to my aging Z1, but I realised after I placed the order that it doesn't say which version of the Nexus 6P you're stocking. Is it the 32GB, 64GB or 128GB version?

Hi there,

If you look on the webiste you will see it's the 32GB versionwe will be stocking.

Hope this helps.

The Vodafone version is the 32GB one. :smileywink:

I spoke to a support advisor last night as I wanted to cancel the upgrade IF the handset it 32GB, so she checked with an upgrade advisor who said the system doesn't actually say which version they're getting. So I'm to carry on with the upgrade, wait for the handset to be released, and if it's 32GB then I can return it and revert my contract or choose a different handset. Oh, and I'll still be eligible for the bundle with the free tablet. Apparently.

Hi @spikey_richie

It's definitely the 32GB model, not sure why the advisor wasn't able to tell you this. See the screenshot from the web store below, i've highlighted the storage :smileywink:

If you're not happy with this model then I would cancel the upgrade now. If you wait until you receive the device you will have to wait even longer before you can upgrade to the larger model through a 3rd party.

EDIT: if you return the phone I believe you would also need to return the tablet.

"If you wait until you receive the device you will have to wait even longer before you can upgrade to the larger model through a 3rd party."

So you mean if I didn't want the 32GB Nexus 6P, I could return it but then I'd not get an option to choose a different handset instead such as the Z5?

Sorry @spikey_richie didn't choose my wording very well bit too early in the morning haha! Let me try again;

When you decide to cancel an upgrade your contract won't revert back to it's previous state (ie. where you can upgrade) until any devices are returned to Vodafone. So what I really meant is that if you wait until the handset is delivered to you that's a couple of days, then you decide to send the handset back, another few days, give it another 24 hours after it's been received for your contract to revert and allow you to upgrade again. That's at least a week before you will be able to order an alternative phone, if you are able to cancel the upgrade before any of that then your contract will revent sooner and you'll be able to place your new order sooner.

Hope that makes more sense? 🙂

Ok that makes sense, and follows what the advisor told me last night. This uncertainty about the device still leaves me wanting to wait and see what is actually delivered. I don't mind waiting a few days after the device has arrived to select something else. If I get lucky, I might be able to pre-order the 950 XL instead. I'm still um'ing and ar'ing the move to WP10.

Same decision i'm currently stuck with! The 950XL with Continuum looks amazing!

If they make the porting of Android apps super easy for devs so I can still use Waze & Ingress, then I'm set. There is talk of a CyanogenMod in the making which will allow dual-boot, but i'd want to see it working before I commit.
