Hello,
Following the recent ios 8.1 upgrade the toggle to disable 3g/ enable 2g or edge should be visable, but it is not.
I had this option on my iphone 5 using the same vodafone simcard so maybe its not a vodafone issue but an apple issue.
I spoke with Apple and they are saying to speak to my carrier.
Any help please?
Its really useful to disable 3G when in a poor network coverage area.
Thanks!

I have just updated a phone that I use in Thailand, updatedfrrom ios7 to ios8.1, connected to iTunes and used my DTAC (Thai) sim card.
The 2g/3g toggle is still there, so this is not an Apple issue, it is carrier related.

Hi everyone,
I'm afraid my team don't design carrier settings. However, I've passed a link for this thread on to our engineers for future consideration.
As mentioned in other posts, we're unable to support jail broken devices as this voids your warranty. As owners of the phones, it is of course your decision should you still wish to go down that route.
Thanks,
Ben

I shall be waiting with bated breath.
FYI - Anyone who wants to see if new carrier updates are available, go to Settings/General/About
Once there, if there is a new carrier update it will ask you to accept and update.

Quite odd this one.
I had an Iphone5 as lost the ability to toggle with the latest update. It then appeared on my phone last week (literally) which was quite pleasing. Just upgraded to an Iphone6+ today and it's gone again. Both phones were on Vodafone......

iOS 8.1.1 is out. Anyone brave enough to download it and see if the option for 2G/3G/4G is now there?
