No Data Card Found - Apple Mac

Hi,

I have been using mobile braodband (vodafone E172) for the last year on my Apple ibook G4 with no problems.

This week I got a new ibook and have installed the vodafone mobile connect. However I am unable to connect to the internet. My ibook doesnt seem to identify the usb as a modem. The icon does however appear on screen.

When I try to start vodafone mobile connect I get the following message 'no data card or modem found. this program will now quit'.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Wayne - I notice that this thread ended. I am having the same problem, ('no data card or modem found. this program will now quit') - I tried to navigate to the link provided but page hosting the latest software is not working when you click download.

I am using MAC OSX 10.5.8

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi sledge89,

First off, a very warm welcome to the eForum! We're always keen to see new posters ;)

I've had a quick peek at the link you provided and it does indeed seem to open into nothingness! I'll get this raised as a fault for the online team to amend for us so thanks for the heads up!

In the meantime, I've provided this link to a third party site for you to download the Mac software from. Let me know how you get on once you're up and running!

Cheers, Ben
