Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm getting desperate, I have been without internet connection on my Vodaphone (K3570-Z) dongle for just over a week now I phoned up the tech team on Tuesday 10th of April and the lady I spoke to said that it was because the tower in my area was down would anyone happen to know anything about this I've checked the faults board and the last posts for BB2 was in March any help and/or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated I'm currently having to use my orange mobile as a modem just so I can post on here and using an orange network to post on a vodaphone forum just seems wrong. But if it doesn't get resolved soon I may have to switch to another provider which I really don't want to have to do as I like vodaphone its easy to use and plus I've got £15 worth of data on it and I don't want to waste it.
Thanks in advance

Hi
Please try the steps in our Network Troubleshooting thread.
If you are still experiencing the issue having completed these steps, post the template with your answers here and I'll have a member of the team get back to you ASAP.

Hi Matt thankyou for a swift repsonse here are the details with the template.
1). Does the issue happen in just one location?
it occurs werever im sat
2). Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?
the sim card i have is data only sim as it goes in my dongle that i use to connect via my laptop
3). Can you check your coverage here? Please bear in mind that this is only a guideline and can never be 100% accurate, particularly for indoor coverage.
i checked the coverage and apparently its strong, but i know from talking to a lady on the phone from the tech team that the tower for my area is down she said she would report it and see if anybody else has reported in the same area
4). Can you check our Faults Board, which contains all the mast issues we’re aware of. I checked the faults board last night and the only fault reported on there for my post code area is from march
5). Does this issue happen on 2G/3G or both. To check this, you can amend your phone's network settings, our Help Centre contains all the instructions, just select your model of phone and then select "network". it occurs on both 3G and GPRS
6). What is the full postcode of where the issue occurs (if you’re uncomfortable with this appearing on the forum, then please add it to your profile by clicking “My eForum Settings” on the front page and then selecting “Personal Information”
the postcode is BB2 1LG
7). How far you have to travel to get signal. I dont take my laptop anywhere with me it stays in my flat as it has never liked being moved from one area of the town to another.
8). Do you get any error messages/tones if you’re having problems with calling/texting this is the error message i get when i try to load a webpage:
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.
Thanks in advance
Trish

Hi dolphintribe
Thanks for your patience with this.
My colleague in our networks team has got back to me to say that the site closest to you is fully operational and taking traffic ok. There aren’t any signs of congestion at all.
Can you confirm that this is still an issue? Also, does it happen all the time or are there specific times of the day that this issue worsens?
How old is the SIM card?
Have you gone through a period of time without using the SIM at all?
Thanks
Wayne
