Note 7 Swap Queries - Voda Forums Reps Plz

Anonymous
Not applicable

Afternoon Voda Reps

QQ Regarding Note 7 Queries etc.

1. Swapouts - Naturally Voda are doing these. The official statement says To call after 19th Sept If you want to exchange for Note 7 device. Will it be a straight Swap For Swap with DPD (IE Their "Swapit" Facility) ??

Can these be done in store? The guys in Crawley said it could be done like for like. I'd just rather not be without my device for more than a couple of days if Im still paying for it.

2. What happens on Siebel in relation to tariffs and billing? Will these be exempt due to the issues? IE Old Tariff still rolling on? Etc

Hi Guys. I thought I'll share some details about exchange with you. I just got my Note 7 swapped. The courier arrived with a box in his hand, took new phone out of it and swapped with my old one. There was a misunderstanding as I was told two different things by two different people. One said that they will swap just a device and the other that they need whole box will all the accessories. Well as you can see now they only taking device itself. I don't get that as what's the point? He could just give me the whole box and at least the IMEI and serial nr will match.

Hi all

Thought Id shart that I've got mine swapped today as well.

Here are some tips for people still stuck in the madness

ask to speak to the returns department!  They seemingly put you on a list where the warehouse will work through and then give you a call back to arrange delivery.  I spoke to the warehouse on Monday evening, got a call yesterday afternoon and the phone was delivered this morning.

The courier gave me a new box with all the contents and took away the old box with all its contents.  Upon opening the new one i forgot to include the little USB adaptors when sending mine back, but at least the phone was in there!

Im not sure why the poster above swapped the phone over and not the box, I would be questioning this as the new box will have the new devices IMEI number and the little black square on the label indicating its a safe one.

I did panic somewhat when powering the new one up because it didnt have a green battery icon!  I naturally assumed the worst and thought Vodafone had swapped my potentially unsafe one with a potentially unsafe one!  But after downloading the update it changed to green - PHEW!

Keep at it guys, it is really frustrating I know but be adamant you need to speak to someone "in the know".  I got through to their Rentention Team who then passed me on to their returns department.  If anyone is going to be "in the know" about this - it will obviously be their returns department and not the "general advice" people.

I wanted to share my experience to reassure you all that there is a system in place that does work, finding the people who can do it is half of the battle, once you do - its pretty plain sailing.

Good luck guys :Smiling:
