I am a new Vodafone customer. Have had a terrible experience to start with.
I recently took out a mobile phone contract. Followed by a Broadband and Phone Line with the addition of anytime calls package.
I asked to keep my old landline number. Was told this would not be a problem.This did not happen.
I have spoken to several Vodafone support team members. With all different promises. Telling me that the porting should be completed soon – 24hrs, 72hrs, midnight tonight, tomorrow etc. etc
A land line number would not normally be that important as we all have mobile phones these days. However, my mother is unwell and regularly gets calls from the hospitals on this number. She relies on this landline number.
Just yesterday I had a call from the hospital. They ended up calling on my mobile (while I was at work) as they were not able to get through to my mother (Our landline number was unattainable).
I am really struggling to get anywhere with this after speaking to many team members.
If I had known this was going to happen, I would not have taken a contract with Vodafone. I just didn't expect this terrible service from a well-established and reputable company.
I could have got a cheaper package but decided to go for Vodafone thinking the service would be better and more reliable. I didn’t realise that it would be almost impossible to resolve an issue.
I am concerned that if I have issues with Broadband then my internet connection could be down for several days which would have a massive impact.
I have logged a formal complaint to see if that will get me anywhere as nothing else seems to be working!!
Is this bad level of service common?
