Optimising app loop

My new Vodafone smart ultra 6 is stuck in an "optimising app" loop. I have tried a factory reset/reboot (several times) but it is still in the loop. I am abroad so cannot pop into a Vodafone store for help. Any solutions?

Have you tried a battery pull ?

It has been suggested that I should try removing the battery, but I don't believe that is possible with a Smart Ultra 6 - it's a one-piece mould

I wasn't sure but the specs shown here suggest its removable.

Hi @TimS57

 

You can try a soft reset by pressing and holding the power on and volume down button. When the phone reboots release both buttons.

 

If this does not work, you will need to do a hard reset.

 

Ultra 6 Hard reset

 

This will clear everything, including anything not backed up and saved.

 

If there are still problems, it will mean waiting until you are back in the UK and taking the phone for repair.

I have tried hard reset - unfortunately the problem persists.

 

Thanks re battery suggestion but unfortunately the cover does not look undo-able!

As you have performed a Factory reset which is on the same lines as a hard reset then I'd agree you probably going to have to get help on your return to the Uk.
