Order of usage with data allowance, and additional add-on

If I have a data allowance, and I buy a data add-on ontop of this, will my usage first use my allowance, and then the add-on? Or vice versa?

If you have added an extra data package for your dongle, as soon as you allowance has been used, the stored data package will kick in.
