Overcharging....

Texted to get extra £10 2gb of data and been charged £20 instantly... Why???

 

no warning, no explanation, breakdown says 0 extras although £10 extra in total... Got screen grads to testify that I am not going barmy! 

 

Any one able to explain why? Can't get live chat to work and too late to try and talk to an advisor as stick in s field camping and reliant on data...

Did you only get 2gb's have you checked they haven't given you 4? I was on to vodafone an hour earlier. I was charged £45 extra for data charges even though I had only received a warning message stating I had gone over by £26 which was bad enough! I immediately paid for 2gb to cover myself until my data was renewed. Then my bill showed charges of £45 with the £10 2gb on top of that! The first advisor put me on hold for over 15 minutes whilst trying to work out why this had happened. I ended the call and called back to be given some lame explanation about further warning messages for the charges which after I ended the call quickly realised was incorrect and called back for a third time for them to concede there had be no notification of any extra charges but they could only give me a £10 rebate. My contract is up for renewal next month it's their loss.
