PDP authentication failure iPhone

I keep getting the message could not activate mobile data network PDP authentication failure, I've had a new sim and it's still not working

I'd try two things. First text the word web to 40127 and install th Vodafone profile. Reinstall it if it's already there. Secondly sync to iTunes to make sure that right carrier settings are on the phone. See if that helps.
