It can take upto 24 hours but some people have been having issues getting it sorted so if after 24 hours it hasn't been changed contact live help for assistance

Hi

Depends on how busy the Network is.

From a few minutes to approx 24 hours.

Try turning Airplane Mode On and Off or turn the iPhone off and on every 20 mins or so.

When service stops on the original sim this indicates the sim swap has begun.

Have you initiated the sim swap to begin the process or has customer services ?

Info here http://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/benefits/sim-swap/index.htm

Hi

Sorry to learn your still dealing with this.

Just to clarify.

Are you changing the Vodaphone SIM card size so you can use an alternative phone ?

Have you upgraded through Carphone Warehouse ?

As you state the Service has not stopped on the original SIM card then the sim swap has somehow glitched , not started yet or the SIM card is at fault.

So you may need to use the following link I've added in my first reply or visit a Vodaphone shop (Take Photo ID), as the new sim you have may be faulty.

Or use the 'Contact Us ' link at the foot of the forum to speak to Live Chat and or Customer Services.

Good luck. 😎

I have upgraded from iphone 5, to an iphone 6. So was given a new mini sim and told my old one will become inactive and once it does the new one will become active. It has been nearly 72 hours and this has still not happened.

I used the link myself to initiate a sim change and am still waiting over 24 hours later

Myself I would not even risk doing a sim card change Vodafone tried to say I had a faulty sim id rather get the sim card cut down at a phone store then run that risk as sim swaps ans number porting is to risky at the moment with Vodafone due to there issues..

Appreciate your opinion on sim swaps but do consider that having a SIM card cut down can cause its own issues because if done slightly wrong the SIM card would be rendered unusable ,and due to many people having the older 3G SIM cards, and then moving to 4G phones and 4G tariffs a new 4G SIM card would be required.

I hope you get sorted asap. 😎

Hi Mark.

I have had sim swaps that have taken a little longer than 24 hours as its sometimes dependent on how busy the Network is.

Try in the phones settings -> Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings.

If the old sim is still active it wouldn't harm to contact Customer Services to ascertain the progress on the swap.
