Phones picks up websites I haven't been on

Hi can someone help my father in laws phones keeps popping up with web sites he's not been on.the first lot started happening when he logged on to my iPad with his gmail account .so I reset my iPad to factory setting and that stopped but now he's getting it again sites that he's never been on and it using up with megabytes on his phone he's a little worried is there a way where he can stop it

I don't see the link between your father in law using your iPad to then get random websites popping up on his phone.

Are any of the sites ones you've visited on your iPad?

Maybe he should factory reset his phone to remove any erroneous apps or virus's that may have been picked up.

Hi yes before I reset my iPad there was a few but since then he still gets them

Sounds like this is linked to some app or dodgy email he may have opened.

Have you tried a reset of his phone?

Some apps use advertising and once you install the app, adds/pages keep opening. I have had it before and stopped it by uninstalling the app
