Solution

Problem popup (enhanced features) after 6.0.1 update on S5 Neo

Since the upgrade I am getting an annoying repeating popup asking me if I give permission to share my contacts etc with Samsung (Enhanced features).

I do not want to share this info but the popup reappears many times a day. At the same time as the popup appears it disconnects the phone from my car (RSAP .. very annoying!).

There are other instances of people encountering this issue on different devices but their solutions do not appear to work on the S5.

How do I disable this popup permanently ?

Hi there

If you give it permission it will, in my experience disappear.  I can't remember what exactly, but it did give some benefits once I did that.

I can well believe that if I give permission the nagging popup will not return but I do not wish to share this information with any third party.

I am also pretty sure that the company I work for consider my contact list (this is a business phone) as company confidential and volunteering to share this information would be a breach of their rules.

If you don't want to share this information, I highly suspect that you're going to have to put up with it constantly appearing.  :smileysad:

I would suggest perhaps speaking to your Companies I.T Department who'd clarify.

Hi @sashton

Usually options to disable options like these are in the phones settings or App Settings.

Google search brings lots of hints and tips.

Sometimes when a firmware update has been performed and the phone then shows issues it can be beneficial to perform a Factory Reset. A last resort.

Its advisable to create a backup first to save your data that's in the phones storage memory and remove any Sd Card (Handset Dependant)
