Ras Error Code 619 - K3565-z

Norwood
Not applicable
Hi there,

I bought the K3565-Z USB-stick a couple'a days ago. Anyway, it doesn't seem to work. Whenever I try to connect to vodafone.de (I'm located in Germany), error number 619 pops up and no connection is established.

I've followed all three suggestions that come up with the error message (set as default, ensure no other program's using the device and delete and add the stick again), nothing seems to work. I've also tried changing the COM Ports or whatever you call it like I read in some other topic about this problem - the problem still exists.

Does anyone else have any solutions to this problem?

I appreciate any kind of help, thank you in advance.

Greetings,

Norwood

Hello Norwood and welcome to the eForum :)

Certainly some sort of connectivity problems going on there, can i just confirm where you bought the USB modem, for example is this a Vodafone Germany stick or one purchased in the UK and is currently roaming in Germany.

If it is a roaming one from the UK the settings should allow you to connect via UK settings, as such the problem would then be isolated to roaming or local network connectivity. I'd also need to know whether you're using the modem on Pay As You Go or a contract and whether you've ever been able to make an internet connection.

looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

I have exactly the same problem: bought a UK K3565 modem (Top Up), installed it, got it to work once, and ever since I'm getting the "RAS error code 619". I've tried it in two different locations (Oxford and London) and neither worked.

I have an Vodafone E220 USB modem (als Top Up) from the Netherlands which is working fine in the UK, but it's far too expensive to use in the UK, which is why I bought the UK modem. However, after having spent £34.99 on the UK modem I still end up having to use my Dutch modem...

Looks like the problem has been solved for me: it turned out the Account Type had somehow been changed to "Contract" instead of "Prepay". Don't know how this happened, I'm sure it was set to "Prepay" before.
