Ive been getting delayed Messages Using a Samsung S5 got it from Vodafone on Contract.

Many times cannot make Phone calls in Towns.

this morning 2 messages came through on Answermachine 1 from early November and one from 23 december.

Ive had the Phone sim changed twice and had the Phone away to be examined twice by Vodafone.

when i originally Phoned 191 they asked me to go into the shop and when i got to the shop they asked me to Phone support on 191.

My experience with my Phone and contract is far from reasonable .

My wife has an S5 same contract lives in the same house She can Phone out i cant. we live on top of a hill with clear views for Miles.

2 of my employees have vodafone pay as you go they have no problems when i put the sim into a blackberry i have there are absolutly no problems.

3 people that are constantly near me in the same places they can make calls and send texts I cant.

Ive also heard this from Other S5 Users and the Phone was supposed to be Vodafones Flagship for a while there.

Hi @Ramsbury

Please follow all of these checks

These will make sure that your phone and SIM are up to date on the network.

Thanks,

Ian

Dear Ian.

Im posting of My Experience. and of Course have followed more checks from Vodafone.

[Removed in line with our House Rules] now.

Ive contacted Vodafone through 191, they sent through a New SIM although the SIM Was only 1 Month Old.

Been into the Shop 6 times they have taken the PHONE and sent it OFF i got the reply there is Nothing wrong with the phone.

TWICE.

I got the Phone back and Guess what. Folk around me we getting a Signal full strenght from Vodafone I get NO NETWORK CONNECTION. went nto Shop get a signal but 100 yars from shop Nothing Marlborough Highstreet  so quite clearly there is a proplem with the Signal either the Phone or the Mast  But this happens in Reading, Oxford, Devizes, so Put Sim into a Blackberry i have No problems at all Sim into Other Phones No proplems

so I believe there is definatly a Problem with the Phone

I post on the Forum to show folk of my experience as I believe the Phone does not work properly.

then You post please follow these steps.

I shall be going back to the Shop And shall inform them THE PHONE a SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 is Not Fit for Purpose and contravenes our Agreement due to Not being able to provide a Proper service provided by Vodafone.

and wish to have another Phone of the same type,, as the Phone part of a Contract this also Breaches the Contract as Service has not been provided as agreed.

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the

eForum, add it to your profile here.

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

NO

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?

NO NETWORK CONNECTION

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?

Happens On All even cannot send or recieve Texts and many times Answering and textsw come in 2- 3 weeks late.

6) When did you first notice this issue?

First day i got the Phone But as it was a NEW PHONE AND A NEW SIM thought Connection had not been activated properly

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?

this issue is Intermittent But does happen Every day.

Hi @Ramsbury

The checks I linked you to usually clear any issues with the phone or SIM.

If you've tried these and believe it's the phone, then it'll need to go back for a repair.

Thanks,

Ian
