have just got the s6 edge 128gb and this is my second device after having it replaced due to the call dropping problem which is still going on with my new device.
anyway apart from the call dropping problem heres a new issue ive discovered...
id like to know if anyone else has noticed that the device doesnt come with the 128gb as advertised and which were led to believe !!!!!
ive just done a factory reset and when i checked the memory ive only got 113gb showing under properties and it says that the phones memory is 14.4gb like ##~## thats a massive massive amount of memory taken up for a phone os even with bloatwear and thats before ive added my own apps andphotos etc.
i for one dont believe that samsung have been honest with the figures and have obviously exagerated the phones 128gb to falsely dupe the public into thinking that they have 128gb to play with when purchasing the phone.
what does other people think??

Hi there
All mobile phones have a set amount of onboard storage and the figure quoted is never the amount that we will be able to use. If you totally wipe the firmware off it and have a blank device, it will be the 128GB you have been quoted.
This isn't specific to Samsung either. All quoted capacity figures do not take into account how much space will be taken up by the firmware which will vary as it is updated.
Samsung do make this very clear. If you take a look at their website, you will see the following information:
Memory size - User memory is less than the total memory due to storage of the operating system and software used to operate the phones features.
Actual user memory will vary depending on the mobile phone operator and may change after software upgrades are performed.
I think that pretty clearly explains how it works.

it is the same with any device, laptops tablets and such, i have a 500GB hard drive in laptop but it only shows 465gb nothing to worry about
