Receiving international calls.

Okay - time for rant number 3!

 

Had an angry email from a US colleague to say he wasn't able to reach me by phone. Turns out that there was a block on my account preventing me from receiving any overseas calls or texts, even when in the UK.

 

This block isn't visible under my account, unlike the other blocks which confirm I'm allowed to roam and make overseas calls.

 

Is this standard or just another screw up by Mobile Phones Direct / Vodafone?

Just spoken to the social media team about my billing issue and they confirm no such blocking option exists.

 

Just wondering - are customer services told to invent answers when they can't find one on their system???

I've never heard of any network offering the option to block interational calls from the UK so it was definitely duff information given to you by the customer service agent who advised you of one.

Was it over the phone, or by live chat? Either way, I'd log a complaint about it so they can listen to the call / read the chat transctipt and coach the agent so this doesn't happen again in the future.
