There are currently no issues reported in your area, to help us investigate this for you, please provide:
1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service? We are meant to be having an upgraded service and have been told that the work is complete - however our immediate locale has not changed other than getting a bit worse than it was and where it was better down the valley -3G there is now just gprs
2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs?
Sa19 8nn
3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?
Yes
4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs? No upgraded signal just bad gprs
5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all? We only have gprs
6) When did you first notice this issue? Not really relevant- we were told that work was completed yesterday up till then we’d been putting up with the worsening signal but apparently we should have gone to 4g yesterday but it’s worse gprs than it was before
7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs? Two weeks ago we got 4g briefly throughout the one day but we’ve had nothing else, I’d say it was permanent
Thanks,

Hello @lyndsmaiden thank you for confirming the information above.
As the work was only completed yesterday it sound like Vodafone still have the mast in low power (testing) mode, which would explain why you are experiencing a degraded service. Please allow up to 72 hours after completion for service to stabilise and improve.
If service has still not improved by then and the Status Checker has no further update then please contact customer service who can assist further:

Thanks Tommie,
sadly the impacts acts have been felt in places which already had 3G down the road, the whole area has reverted to gprs

Hello @lyndsmaiden as I do not work for Vodafone I can not confirm for sure but it seems a likely scenario from the information you have given.
When a mast is in low power mode coverage will drop to the immediate surrounding area or may not be traceable at all. This will affect the entire area the mast serves and although it may be possible to divert some traffic to the surrounding masts they may not be able to stretch out far enough to fully compensate.
Please keep us updated on how you are getting on. For a definite answer Live Chat should be available at this time.
