Is there a certain number of 'attempted' repairs before receiving a replacement?

Nope, Vodafone don't have a particular limit.  The phone will be swapped out if deemed beyond economic repair.  The rest of the time it will be fixed and returned to you.

@B-12345 Unofficially I believe it's 3 times in as many months for the same issue but I would guess that's down to the individual who is carrying out the work at the repair center.

If you are having issues with a device and Vodafone repair are unable to resolve the issue you could try going directly to the manufacturer (assuming the device is still under warranty, 2 years from purchase date for all devices in the UK)

Unfortunately LG don't offer replacement warranties I was told by them.
