Hi Neil,

I’ve resynced your Sure Signal for you now.

So that the resync completes, can you do a factory reset for me:-

  • Find the button on the base of the unit next to the Ethernet ports
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around one hour

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy

Thanks, this usually solves any problems but not this time it would seem. The issue I have is flashing power light and solid orange in use light. I get this problem from time to time but as I said, a restart usually solves it, if not then a resync always does.

Any ideas?

Neil

Hi Neil,

This light sequence is usually down to a connectivity issue.

Can you try a different Ethernet cable and let me know how you get on?

James

Hi James

Different cable, same result. Any other ideas?

Hi Neil,

I’m sorry to see the change of Ethernet cable hasn’t helped.

Check to make sure you have the following ports open/forwarded on your router:-

Port Number

8          TCP      UDP

50         TCP      UDP

53         TCP      UDP

67                     UDP

68                     UDP

123                   UDP

500                   UDP

1723     TCP      UDP

4500                 UDP

33434 - 33445    UDP

Also, make sure that the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) value is set to 1500.

If this doesn’t help, try the Sure Signal in a different location, that of a friend or family member.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi guys

Happy to report that, after 4 days of not working, it suddenly came back to life yesterday. Now, the only thing I did was to de-register the device and then register it again. Could that be what gave it the kick it needed?

Neil

Hi Neil,

That’s great, thanks for letting us know.

Yes, this can resolve issues sometimes.

Thanks,

Gemma
