My phone is no longer getting a 3g signal from my SS version 1, I have spoken to vodafone and they say my SS could be faulty and said to return it to them, but as its over 3 years old and so likely to be chargeable, I wondered if anything else can be done before I send it away.
The problems started when I changed to a nano sim, but it has worked for about week since then.
Lights 1,2 and 4 are lit and solid, but 3 does not light at all.
I have deregistered, and registered the SS
Tired 2 different 3g phones, both work fine in town on 3g.
Tried 2 different numbers.
Reset the SS by holding down the reset button when putting the power in.
Tried on 2 different ADSL line, one with O2 which has just been bought by sky, and the other a Plus Net
I have setup port forwarding on both routers for the various UDP/TCP ports, also have upnp enabled
My external IP address at the moment is 188.220.74.121
My serial number is 21223485117
Tracecrt seems to be ok, as shown in the attachment
Thanks
Phil

Hi James,
Thanks for the quick reply, when I got home I had full 3g signal again so the firmware update must have fixed it which has saved me a lot of hassle of sending it off.
Thanks for fixing it.

Hi Avilla1985,
It’s showing the Sure Signal was activated yesterday, although it hasn’t yet connected to the network.
Please could you follow the steps here: http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Flashing-steady-power-light-no-other-lights-lit/....
Let us know how you get on.
Thanks,
Gemma
