Batteries overheating and draining quickly is usually due to having a number of apps running at the same time and the battery having to work overtime to maintain your service. Please check that you close down all unused apps to help prevent this from happening.
If this is happening regardless how many apps are open your device may have a fault. We will be happy to look into this.

Honestly, Vodafone may want to customise their firmware to ensure that there are no bloatwares/ boatwares are easily uninstalled.
I am pretty happy with the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6's firmware. Why can't Vodafone do the same for the S6's firmware?

Trouble is, one person's bloatware is another's indespensible app. Though I agree that it would be good to make some of it uninstallable. I believe some manufacturers are moving torwards that.
You can, of course, disable any app, even if you can't uninstall it. That will stop it using data as well as battery and resources.
