S7 or G5 Camera

Has anyone had a chance to test the two cameras ? If so, any thoughts on it would be appreciated

Hi,

I've been playing around with the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge for quite a while now as this maybe my next phone. The specs I'm sure your aware of and can be found on Samsungs site.

In short the quality of the photographs this particular phone takes is high both in normal and low light. The array of features you can implement is varied too. 

I've not used the G5.

I wonder how the f/1.7 compares to my G4's f/1.8. Plus the larger pixels! I guess I'll have to go to a shop

Yes that's the same as I do. Go to the Highstreet and play around with the demo models. Hands on experience is primarily the best way in my opinion to help make an informed choice.

Not really great places for comparisons in shops though! Not a lot to take pictures of and often well lit so won't see low light difference.

True but in some shops they have units not tethered to a demo stand and have allowed me under supervision to take photos at the doorway.

No it wasn't t a Vodafone shop. 

I've had Carphone Warehouses and a Highstreet store called CEX let me do this.

You're welcome. 

There's a guy in my local one who kind of floor walks meeting and greeting and has access to the phones without having to wait in line. He also has a mobile till. 

Not isure if they all have the same staff format.
