Samsung Galaxy S4 Messaging stopped working

Messaging has suddenly stopped working on my Samsung Galaxy S4. Advice is that it a corrupted interaction with another App. Local Vodafone store totally useless in advising me, could only suggest doing a factory reset which loses all my data. 

Any other solution?

Please remove any recently added apps to see if this resolves the issue.

Please back up all of your information and reset your phone as advised.
