Bank card stopped working so now i cant collect my new phone from the store until a new one comes??

So I went to the vodafone store to go an pick up my new 15 Pro max that had been delivered, was just about to walk away with it they just needed to put my bank card in the little machine to do there check on the account and my chip in my card failed.

So they wouldn't let me take the phone! Surely they can just check the card/account details against what they have on the computer system? 

Don't realy want to have to wait another week. I'm a long standing vodafone customer probably 15 years and realy need my phone as I've broken my current one.

Hey @Josh89 I hope you're well. The credit/ debit card registered to the account address forms part of the ID verification and security for stores handing over phone orders, so you will need to wait until your new card comes unless you have another card in your name that is registered to the same address.
