Samsung Galaxy S5 Software Update - version: G900FXXS1CQAV/G900FVFR1CPJ1/G900FXXS1CQAW.

Size: 162.40MB

I got a notification for this latest Software Update.

Want to check if its genuine before I download & install.

Has anyone else had this for their Samsung / Andriod?

Go into settings and and look for software update and search for it manually and if it's genuine you should see the same info

I personally would dismiss the first one before doing the manual search

Hello @john2015

Your quite correct in ensuring that firmware is safe to download into your phone.

The updates that can be seen in Settings > Software > Are pushed out by Samsung and are safe.

The size of that update File is  small so could be bug and stability fixes.

You could always Google the software file showing. Try the middle one first.

Before accepting please perform a Back Up just in case.

If your phone starts to misbehave in any way after a few hours for it to properly index and settle then please consider...

System Cache clean which doesn't delete any of your information.

If that fails a Factory Reset which does delete data hence a Back Up is crucial.
