I've just got a Samsung S5 mini, it works fine but will drop the network when I move between areas. I can get the network back by switching flight mode on and off.

Samsung have told me to contact the network providor as they believe its a network issue

I have done a factory wipe also

1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?

Issue happens when travelling from one area to another.

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the eForum, add it to your profile here.

Doesn't just happen in 1 area

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

I don't have another phone that accepts micro sims

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?

Phone goes into making emergency calls conly

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?

2G and 3G, don't have a 4G plan

6) When did you first notice this issue?

From when I first activated my sim and started using the phone

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?

Intermittant, but mainly when travelling between areas

Tha shouldn't happen, he said, stating the obvious.   The first thing to do would be to try a different SIM, just to rule that out if nothing else.   A Vodafone shop will be able to do that for you, and also activate it.  If you can't conveniently get to one, give 191 a call and they can send you one - or you can talk to Live Chat.

Thanks, I've got hold of another sim, different network, and the phone has done the same again. So assume it must be the handset. Tesco direct are collecting it tomorrow to replace. Hoping it's just a one off and not a firmware issue

I think it's most likely to be a hardware fault.
