My Samsung S6 ramdomly vibrates then quits back to the home screen. Happening when txting, phoning or doing anything. Happens most days when out and about with data turned on. Wifi can be on or off. On android 5.1.1. Any sugestions.

Same problem today again. I have a poor signal where I'm working, 1 or 2 bars. I can make calls with the data turned off, but when data is turned on it seems to cause the problem of vibrating then quiting back to the home screen.
I think this could be the cause of your problem...?
The poor signal quality where you work could be causing the phone to constantly scan for the best/strongest signal.
This would put a high demand on the phone and could Max out the memory allocated to that system process causing it to crash?
You could try changing your network settings so the phone only uses 2g/3g while at work. This would lesson the amount the phone scans for a strong signal by completely knocking out the 4g option.
TSD.

Sounds like a good theory. Friday at work I had 3-4 bars, could make calls no problem. The data wasn't so good and kept switching between 3g. E and nothing. I had the same problem with reandom vibrating etc.
At the previous place I was working the signal was very poor and I did try switching between all the data modes, LTE/WCDMA/GSM, WCDMA only etc. This didn't help. I will try this again on Monday when I have a better signal.
I have aranged with Samsung to do a complete software re install next weekend. They are sure it's software related and so this should fix the problem. I'll wait and see.
