Hi I have recently upgraded to a Samsung S7 edge with a red bundle and a new sim card (even though the old sim card was 4G). But the phone loses all internet connectivity, text and phone call capability even though I still have 4G signal and 4 bars of strength. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. I usually have to do this 3 or 4 times a day. I did have to do an android upgrade a couple of days of receiving the phone and I then had the usual text message to install the internet settings and the problem seemed to go away for a couple of days but now its back. I haven't seen the same issues on wi fi that I've noticed anyway. Also when it happens the little up arrow just under the 4G symbol is constantly on as if it gets stuck uploading.
Is this a known issue? Am planning on taking the phone into my nearest vodafone shop for them to take a look but was hoping someone knew the answer.

Hi
After a firmware update it's recommended to perform a system clear cache which does not interfere with your saved data.
If that does not help then a factory reset which needs you to create a back up first as this does wipe the phone.
Perhaps try your sim in another phone and another Sim on your phone as a process of elimination.
You do have a timeframe to return the phone to ask for a new one which is 30 days from accepting the phone.

Many thanks. I've done the cache wipe so will see if that makes a difference.

@BandOfBrothersIn the course of something else, I read that the "clear cache" option within Settings|Storage is the same as doing it from Recovery mode. Is that your experience? (In my case, it works from Settings but fails from Recovery :smileyfrustrated:)

Hi @hrym
The process I'm aware of is...
Wipe the Cache Partition:
Turn off the S7 off
Press and hold “Volume Up”, “Home” and “Power” all at the same time
When the “Samsung” logo appears, release “Power”
At the “Android” logo, release the other two hardware keys as well
Wait for access to the Recovery menu (may take up to 60 seconds)
Once in the Android System Recovery menu, press “Volume down” repeatedly to navigate to and highlight “wipe cache partition”
Press “Power” to confirm
Once the cache partition is wiped, “Reboot system now” will be highlighted
Press “Power” to confirm and reboot your device

Yeah, that's what I've done, but some of the pieces I was reading when I was researching the System UI crash suggested that choosing "clear cache" from Settings|Storage did the same thing. Mind you, as that works in my case and doing it from Recovery produces the unhelpful message "Failed!", I have my doubts.
