I have a Sony Xperia Z3 compact and have an SD card inserted. I transferred all my images to the SD card, however, the details of each photo has changed to todays date and are completely muddled up in the album app.

How can I change the property of each photo back to their original date? And in turn, put all my photos back in chronological order in the album app?

Hi, I have the Z3 and have had a look but can't seem to find anyway of doing what you want.

The only thing I can suggest is download a third party gallery app from the play store and see if that can do what you want.

Unfortunately, files get stamped with the date they're created.  I've had the same issue on pc's, but as able to change the column in the display to the date the photo was taken.   I don't think that option is available on any of the phone file managers I've seen.  The only way round the problem I've seen is to change the display order to filename*, if that exists (what the different gallery apps offer varies).

* That works as long as the names are consistent, of course, eg DSC_0001 etc
