so I have insurance on my iPhone 6s and it broke so I went through the replacement process and when I got my new phone it was pink. I have been to multiple different stores and called up lots of times and they refuse to do anything. I feel if there is a very feminine colour variant of the phone they should ship it out when I requested the space grey variant of it. It has been a while since I started this process and I needed a phone so it had to be opened. I would be willing to pay the £25 insurance fee again if that means i would be able to get a space grey phone like requested.

Hey @hegehog111

I'm assuming the pink you refer to is the iPhone Rose Gold option.

The insurance company do try to replace like for like I believe if they have the available colour / storage capacity and model type available.

Is this insurance through Vodafone? If so these are the T&C and how you can raise a complaint.

Vodafone-insurance & T&C's.

If not Which insurance company is it.

What reasons have they given for not replacing the iPhone like for like in respect to colour ?

Read all relevant T&C's.

Hi, Yes it is rose gold, I just forgot the name. And it is directly through Vodafone for the insurance and they just said "we will try to give you the colour of your choice but we may not always be able to do that" or something to that effect (cant remember the exact words sorry).

Thank you for the reply and I will look into the t&cs. :Smiling:

Its definitely a matter of taste when it comes to colour choice.

My personal preference would not be Rose Gold either.

I've always opted for Space / Slate Grey myself.

If I had to have that colour I'd invest in a case or skin that would both mask the colour and protect the iPhone.

Please do check the relevant T&C and if you feel warranted raise this with the Insurance Company directly in regards to your dissatisfaction on the colour they've provided.

Best of luck with this.

I certainly wouldn't buy a pink phone from choice! Though, depending a bit where you use it, it's possible that pinkness might be a deterrent to theft.

However, if you buy a suitable case to protect it, you soon forget what colour it is. I bought a gel case to protect an HTC One M9, because it was as slippery as a bar of soap. The other day I removed the case to change the memory card, and was amazed to discover that it was a gold phone.

Admittedly you do see a small amount of gold around the charging and earphone sockets, but it's a grey case (presumably that was the colour that was quickly available), and over time I seem to have mentally changed it to a grey phone.
