Slow Order

Afternoon!

 

I made an order for the new iPad Pro 12.9 on Thursday morning around 5am. The tracking page says the detials entered are invailid but talking with the online support they tell me that the order is in proggress and was slowed down by the weekend.

Are all orders with Vodafone this slow?

 

I have been with EE and Three over the years and they was always fast with the orders, Next day or two. I am with O2 for my mobile at the moment and even that was next day.

 

What on earth is taking Vodafone so long? I am going away for a week on Thursday and really hoping to get this order before I leave!

Orders placed over or close to a weekend can sometimes slow down processing. 

Then there's the Credit Checking process. 

Have Vodafone specically confirned the device is in-stock ?

The tracking page will work for you when Vodafone have emailed you to confirm actual despatch. Check both email inboxes and spam type inboxes.

Nothing said to me about stock.

 

Only emails I have had on the day of ordering was to confirm the order and registration of a Vodadfone account. I also got an email yesterday confirming set up of the Direct Debit. But that is all the communication I have had from Vodafone.

It may then be beneficial to ask if the device is In-Stock and what the current status is.

Yeah. I got an email this evening telling me this:

 

We’re sorry but we’re still waiting for stock from the manufacturer for your order WEB-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx


We know having to wait is frustrating, but don’t worry - you’ve got a spot on the waiting list and we’ll send your item(s) out as soon as possible.
 
Just to let you know, our customer service team won’t be able to give you any more information on your order at the moment, but we’ll be back in touch in three days with an update.

 

 

So... vodafone have no ideda when stock is expected.. This is the kind if info that should be listed on the site before ordering. Like how O2! Does it. It tells you if its in stock or not.

I had a feeling it could have been stock availability which is why I asked.  :Sad_face:

 

Usually on the ordering pages it would highlight the Delivery timescales being a day or so or a couple of weeks indicating the availability. 

Not making an excuse for Vodafone but the stock availability can change quite quickly especially if it's a newly launched product and or popular. 

This is something I've also experienced with the other network you mention too. 

I hope it's comes back into stock soon for you.

Apologies for stating the obvious, but if they told you whether or not it was in stock they would get less orders.
