I have a galaxy s5 running the latest firmware and after installing the necessary sim, wallet and smartpass it just doesn't work. Registered credit card put money on ok. Been onto support and informed that Galaxy s5 is not compatible with smartpass. Sounds a load of (Removed for security), can anyone shed any light on this, I heard somewhere that the s4 runs ok.

Hi @barryo18
Was the phone supplied by Vodafone and has their firmware on it ?
Edit : According to this link it is an eligible handset.

If it was supplied by Vodafone then it'll be branded with their version of android firmware.

If the S5 isn't compatible, then you won't be able to use NFC and will need to use the Smartpass tag, I'm afraid. When I used one, I simply tucked it into one of the slots in the case I also used.

As far as I'm aware, when you sign up for Smartpass, they send you a tag as part of the welcome package (along with the companion card and its associated PIN). If you need help with this aspect (but not Wallet), call 01635 692 198. It's the dedicated helpline and very good.
