So I ordered my upgrade on the 25th of July. I chose the Sony Xperia xz premium and also checked if it was in stock due to going out the country on the 30th which the advisor said yep all okay. It came to when it was due to be delivered Friday the 28th and I had no text message or update. So I phoned Vodafone and.i was told all is in hand it just means the phone has not been picked. Later that day still no update so i phone again to be told something has gone wrong and you won't be getting it until the 31st. As you would imagine I was not very happy because this means I won't have It until I come back from holiday after being promised it will be with me Friday and the fact I took a day off work to be in when it's delivered (being a labour worker you don't get paid for that day now) so again I'm on the phone to Vodafone on the Monday in a different country trying.to.figure out again why my phone has not been delivered. Now.im told it's out of stock and not sure when I will be receiving it. Okay why was I told false information prior to the upgrade it's been 10 days since I placed the order and all I can be told is that it's out if stock. Not happy at all with the service I'm receiving and yet been with Vodafone my while life.

I can well understand how you'd be unimpressed with the fact that it's out of stock and the apparent lack of information.
Communication is key.
I would think when you placed your order the phone would have been showing in stock for the agent but stock availability can change fast.
Personally my choice is to buy phones outright but I do advise that if a Vodafone Highstreet Store is local then visit there to upgrade as then if it's in stock a person walks out with phone in hand, contract in hard copy and no delivery to wait in for thus no lost wages or used annual leave if applicable.

Yeah the communication is vital and none of the "I don't know" if the phone was in stock at the time of order then that should be prioritised. I'm unable to go to a store now because the contract is in place and then I would have to pull another one out and cancel the other one which is to much hassle for what a paying customer should do. I just want to know how much longer it will take to get this sorted as it has already been 10 days and the answer is still unknown

Yes you'd need to cancel the upgrade and wait until your account went back to pre upgrade status and then start gain. Appreciate it's not a straight forward process. And that's only an avenue if the stores have it in stock too.
