Hi eForum. I recently got a Vodafone Sony Xperia Z3+ and whenever I use the camera it comes up with a message saying 'temperature is rising' then shortly after I get another saying the 'camera app will shut down' then it closes.
I have upgraded to the latest software version available on Vodafone (28.0.A.7.24). I know the latest version Sony have released is 28.0.A.8.251. Is Vodafone going to release the latest version soon (which may fix the issue) and what else can I do to stop this problem happening? I'm really upset I cant take photos when I want to.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

It's a shame you've decided to not use the phone.
The Repair team may have missed something the first time round, I'd recommend sending it away again.

You could also try going direct to Sony this time. Overheating was a bit of a known issue with some of the earlier Xperia models and seems to have been down to the sealing for the waterproofing. They may have a better knowledge-base and be able to provide a lasting fix.

I am waiting till next week to send it of for a repair with Sony themselves to see if it is an issue with the phone. Any app I installed, the device rebooted. Facebook, Spoltify and Facebook Messenger.
Got an e-mail from Vodafone saying its the app which are casusing the issue. You can class the device as a mobile not a smartphone.

It's always possible that another app was hogging system resources and over-exercising the processor. You could try running it vanilla (no added apps) for a while and see if that solves the problem. If it does, put your apps back one at a time. When the problem recurs, you've found the culprit.
FWIW, I clear recent apps from time to time, just to nuke stuff and restore a chunk of system resources. It's also handy if an app freezes.
I assume the Vodafone repair included a factory reset (ie you had to reinstall everything when it came back)? If so, an issue with app data or cache should have gone away. If not, it could be one of those.

Sukhi:
The back plate of my Z5 will also heat up tremendously before the latest firmware update. After updating to the latest firmware, it seems that heat has disappeared.
