HI
We have had no Vodafone coverage at our office / home now for well over a week. I have got 2 sure signals to try and help. I have a credit card terminal fitted with a roaming SIM which picks up Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T Mobile. I rely on the Vodafone signal to connect the terminal when I am at home. I currently cant get this to log onto the Sure Signal as I dont have the SIM mobile phone number. I have rung the credit card company and they say that there is no actual mobile phone number for the SIM which is in the machine.
Does anyone know how to either obtain the mobile number of my SIM or how to allow the Cradit card terminal access to my Sure Signal
Cheers
Paul

The terminal is an Ingenico iWL250. It is a "cardsave" account via streamline.
The SIM actually has O2 written on it, but i can promise you it roams between the networks mentioned above.
There is a serial number printed on the SIM - but it isnt a phone number.
Cardsave have said I need to contact Vodafone - hence - here I am !
Kind regards

Hi PaulBaldrick,
As the SIM card shows as an O2 card, they are the only people who can check for the assigned mobile number.
As the device your using is a third party device which operates very differently to a standard mobile SIM where one card = one network, we cannot guarantee that the number will be able to be registered to the Sure Signal. If you get the number, though, then try registering it and we'll see from there.
From your first post, it suggests that you have local network issues as well. Can you take a look at the network troubleshooter for me - not everything will be relevant to the card reader - and check the questions there. Post the information template with the answers here if needed and we'll tae a look.

Also, many embedded type devices only do 2G (GPRS data) and won't work with a 3G network
( which is what you get from the SS )
