Sure Signal not worked for months!

Version 1 Sure Signal has been a problem on and off since we installed it.  It stopped working months ago - I have tried everything but refuse to spend hours and hours reviewing pages and pages of threads on here and going into tons of detail on settings.  This is supposed to be a consumer product!

Power light is on, Internet Light (no 2) occasional flashes.

Router: Netgear D6200
SS ser no: 21197083799
ISP: Talk Talk

There has to be a better way of getting help and support than posting on a forum, knowing that it will take days to get anywhere.

New power plug for £10 now all fine. Wish I had known that the power light does not mean power working!

Wow, thanks Mike.  You wouldn't think of that given that the power light is on steady.

Yes .... the power light is very misleading because the power is there, there's just not very much of it  ...... as the SS tries to connect, it progressively tries to use more power until it can't get enough and shuts back to the power light only, then tries to connect again, hence the cycling effect.

Mike.

Any comments on the trace route??  Thanks

@FixmySS

The Trace route results are fine.

Have you tried a new power supply? I'd also try a new Ethernet cable.

If this doesn't work try the Sure signal at a different location, so we can rule our a fault with the device.

I have this same problem.  I go through all the process and then get a pop up:

Third party system error - provided xml input is invalid

This is such a terrible website - it hardly ever works.

How do I add users (myself - it is my phone I am trying to add!)

Hi FixmySS,

No Problem! .... Just glad that it's fixed for you.  :smileyhappy:

The moral for anybody that has a similar problem...... Don't pay too much attention to the power indicator!  :smileywink:

Regards,

Mike.
