Tesco voucher a scam or real?

I got a text message with a link to a £1.50 Tesco voucher, to use towards either an easter egg or a smoothie. When I went into Tesco they said it was a scam and wouldn't accept it. It came through on the same number as my other vodafone messages. Is it a scam or a real voucher?

It's a genuine offer attached to the Application from Vodafone to thank you for being a customer.

I have also downloaded the e voucher from the My Vodafone Application, you shoud be able to take your phone into a Tesco store and scan the bar code on the download to claim your gift.  There is no reason for Tesco to decline the purchase, it's not a scam.

Thanks @AnnS, not sure why my local tesco wouldn't accept it then. It's only valid for 24 hours so can't try again tomorrow.
