Hi people
I am trying to squeeze every milli amp out of my 7 edge
I read on the forum that when you have syncinig active it is constantly searching for mail.
As gmail is not crucial for me on have it on constantly.but because of the message that fills my screen about syncing it made me wonder am I using more battery checking maybe 6 to 7 times a day on average or would I be better leaving it active.and just turn it on and off as I turn my data on.
As when I'm not on line I turn mobile data off to save apps eating data in back ground
Solved! Go to best answer.

Hi @SKYMAN513
A phone that is set to Push emails can use more data and battery as it's always listening for new emails from the server.
I have mine set to fetch every 15 minutes. This then is at it sounds. My phone searches for new mail every 15 r.
