Thought I'd share this as it may be useful (or may be yet another story to add to the existing list of stories they tell us..)

Sue: Hello, you're chatting with Sue, one of Vodafone's online customer service specialists. How may I help you today?
Paul: Hello. I spoke to an advisor on chat last night who then called me personally to discuss my issue (not knowing anything about my iPhone 6 Plus order and looking to leave Vodafone within a couple of days if I am not able to get any kind of update). He said he couldn't check this, but would call the team who could and would call me back at 8am this morning. Yet again, your Customer Service has failed me and I have had no phone call.
Sue: Hello Paul
Sue: Good morning, how are you doing today?
Paul: All I know about my order is it was made around this time via Live Chat 1 week ago - I have no other information. Is my order delayed? (I have not had an email, others on the eForum have had emails saying it will be delayed). Is it passed the initial order stage?
Paul: I'm ok thanks - frustrated at this issue though!
Sue: I totally understand where you are coming from and I will gladly make sure to update you about your order now
Paul: I understand there may be a delay and it could take weeks to get the order. I would be OK with this if it was communicated to me, but I have had no information from Vodafone which is prompting me to cancel my contract
Sue: It will only take me a few moments to check that for you, I appreciate your patience
Paul: Sure
Sue: Thank you
Sue: Thank you so much for your patience Paul we really appreciate that
Sue: By checking your order status we can see that it is still not confirmed to be a back order yet we assure you that you will receive a text or an e-mail today about that and in case your order became a back order We will credit your account with 5 pounds for every 7 days your order is still in back order starting from the launch date (19th of Sep) and we will make sure that your phone will be delivered as soon as possible.
Paul: Its not confirmed to be a back order - what exactly does that mean? It is stuck at order stage and nothing has happened to my order since it was made 1 week ago?
Sue: Well,we are now waiting for the stock availability from apple and we will update you as soon as we get any confirmation Paul
Paul: OK thanks - I'll most likely cancel my order in the next few days if Vodafone do not send anything official to me personally.
Paul: Thanks anyway

 

 


I ordered the iPhone 6 Plus Gold 16gb around 1030am on Friday 12th September via Live Chat.

How did you make the order?

 

You should have had an email conformation, please check your junk/spam folder.

 

If you have sent us an email, please can you let me know the email reference number [7xxxxxx] and I’ll check that we’ve received it.
