USB Dongle VS Mifi

I have just got vodafone usb dongle with 5gb allowance and was going to get the mifi instead. Is the mifi going to be any better or worse for signal strength? I find the signal for the dongle seems to be very hit and miss depending on where it is placed. I have used sppedtest.net and been able to get download speeds as low as 0.05 mbps or as fast as 6.14 mbps.

Any help/advice is appreciated

Firstly, a very warm welcome to the eForum Family, it's always great to see new faces on here :).

To be honest, there shouldn't really be any difference in the signal strength you receive with either device as you'll be connecting to the same network. Having said that, some phones are better at picking up signal than others, so this could also be the case here, it wouldn't make a huge difference though.
